Abstract

|
The authors have experienced four cases from complications following the injection of foreign substances (paraffin and its mixtures) in breast during last 6 months in Sacred Heart Hospital.
They visited hospital because of palpable tender mass with cancerophobia, intermittant pain and skin change.
Characteristically this report showed that injection was done grouply with friends inspite of normal sized breast and on older age than injection of other sites.
All cases injected paraffin and its mixtures those easily confirmed in gross that mass contained centrally gel like paraffinoid material.
Three cases showed discoloration of skin, one case noted fistular with infection, and the other one had symptoms in distant site from breast.
